Breathtaking shot, if I do say so myself! You really have quite a talent for photography. I'm going to simply sepperate this critique into two sections, pros and cons. And remember, I am not a professional photographer or anything of that sort, I am just stating what I see <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w…" width="15" height="15" alt=";)" title=";) (Wink)" />

Pros:
That is one beautiful bird! And I really love the black background, the idea of it. And the snow is beautiful, very detailed shot. I really like the little bits of lighting on the bird, and the 'shines' on the snow.

Cons:
The photo feels a little dark, though the bird is brightely colored, the colors are a bit muted, especially in respect to the pale white snow. I think that, in a way, the bird almost blends in with the black background, because the first thing your eye goes to is the bright snow, when it should be going to the bird. The face of the bird (the eyes, markings) all blend in together.

But really, do not be disappointed by this AT ALL. This is one beautiful shot, and you are one amazing photographer, and it is my pleasure to try and help you out and to support your photography!
